okay not to long ago my service engine soon sign came up, never really payed much attention since the car runs great! but now that i have emissions comin i need to figure out what to do. I kno the simple way
clear it and just go lol
but i rather fix the problem then just to ignore it.
so i did some research
found that other kouki 240s had the same problem but no one really clarified it what it was. the topic sorta just ended without a solution, so i hope one of you guys know.
i went to autozone and they pulled up

P0440
P1448 - some emmision control crap

if anyone can offer advice on how to solve it rather then just drop it off at a mechanics shop cuz i heard some guy ended up paying $600 to get rid of that, i rather do it myself lol

both of those codes are common on nissan and both are related to emmissions.
the usual problem seems to be a vent control valve located on the charcoal canister.

goto an auto parts store, have them erase it........ done.

along with all your emission moniter readyness tests...

so if you get rid of all your codes all your emissions tests go with it...

you'll fail

fix the problem

yeah it was built in as a failsafe by the EPA regulations to prevent people from just "clearing the codes" to get cars to pass emmisions.

emissions aint shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.................... ask frankmon how he passed his.

OBD2 is a pass/fail.
code = fail
cleared codes before going to emmissions = not ready = fail
CEL bulb not working = fail
no OBD2 connection = fail.


OBD1 I passed with my SR@7psi in 30sec fast pass. Yes it was tuned especially for emmissions
