depends on how the motor was treated (beat on, oil changes, etc). NA motors are more reliable also compared to the turbos.

was the engine rebuilt at one point?

my fc has 150,3XX and it still runs well.
it burns a little coolant, and runs a little rich.

but then again like nachtmensch said, it depends on how the car was treated and maintained.

my buddy has one, hasnt had too many problems. but he hates his "low coolant" chime. its loud. and never turns off. lol
and it takes forever to start up especially if its cold.
but i mean, that are cool cars.
just search man.

Hahaha

Don't get an FC before reading about how rotaries work for a few months. You should read a bunch of FSMs, books on rotaries, technical info, bla bla.

Mine had 130k on it when I totaled it, and it ran perfectly the whole time I owned it. You have to take care of the car with frequent oil changes, watching temps, making sure all of your sensors are working, watching AFRs, etc...

A rotary is definitely not a motor for someone who has no idea how motors work. You should have a good grasp of engines, mechanics, and the rotary engine before buying one.

It's the smoothest running, dopest sounding, illest shit ever. I'll have one again one day when I can afford to have a turbo rotary.

I had my '86 Rx7 sport for a year and half and it never ever gave me any problems, was running strong at over 160,000 miles. Sold it last fall because I needed the space for another Rx7 that im swaping a JDM TurboII engine in What a Face . I miss it. tears
