i know someone (yes, not made up) just paid off his eye doctor to give him a note saying that he needs the tint.

No side windows were ever tinted from the factory.

Ive heard of doing the eye doctor thing, but know a few police officers tha said it is bullshit. A law is a law, they dont care what your eye doctor thinks. A cool cop might let it slide but a State Trooper is probably going to laugh at you.

If you register the car in another state you obide by their laws.
Might as well go to Wisconson.
No front plate, no insurance, any tint, gun laws, drinking underage w/ parents, etc.

Haha. You do need a front plate in WI and technically 50% on the front sides is legal. I have 35% and have had no issues.

you can register your car in any other state other than illinois and be ok in illinois with as much tint as you want

police in illinois can only enforce illinois laws

police are full of shit i been getting stupid ass tickets since i was 16 and the worst part is i never been in an accident and i dont speed i have a stack of tickets and i mean over twenty in the past 2 years that im never going to pay lol my license was even suspended for a year and i didnt even know until my brother was pulled over and they took my license so wtf why was i never told my license was suspended most of my tickets will be off my credit in 2013 so fuck it.i even got a ticket for abandon vehicle on my red s14 with the equips and i drove it everyday i get harassed pretty bad

p.s i just got 4 tickets this week alone 2 for no front plate and 2 for tint

we definitely have tint laws, last time i got rolled with 20% all around it was like $220 or some shit.

and i get stopped for no front plate almost daily..

ive done this before. in my old explorer. was getting stopped left and right but always got away with the note. only mine was a little different. my note was that my skin was allergic to direct sunlight. i guess worked a little better cause i have skin pigmentation in my arms.

ive come to learn that window tint is not that necessary. maybe in the rears its cool but other than that, it gets you into a lot of problems..

cop didn't say anything.
i had 2 different plates...
cop didn't say anything or didn't notice.
had 300zx insurance (got pulled over in the 240)
didn't say anything.
but my license was suspended so he cuffed me.

wisconsin registry it is most likely.
