Ok so my 240sx got hit the other day and although the damage is minimal, the car is being totaled out. That does not mean I am getting rid of it, it just means I have to try extra hard to prove the true "market value" of the car. As we all know, Kelly Blue Book is extremely inaccurate for our cars, given their recent popularity in addition to other factors. What I am trying to do is prove that specifically in our area (and possibly others as well), 240sx's are worth considerably more than their respective KBB value for miles, options, and other arbitrary factors.

This index will help prove to third parties the given value of a 240sx in Northern Illinois/the overall Midwest.

I like the idea but isn't this a win lose deal. A win for the fact that yes we will be able to get more money for our car if sold stock, but wouldn't it be more of a loss for us? Seeing that it would cost more to start a new project. Also a large amount of us totally gut and replace as much oem parts for aftermarket thus the general public would have to interest, but would cost more for someone within the scene to purchase a new chase.

Just strip the car before they come haul it away. This happened to my buddy. He sent that bitch with 2x4's for suspension and absolutly nothing but the shell.
