Ok so my 240sx got hit the other day and although the damage is minimal, the car is being totaled out. That does not mean I am getting rid of it, it just means I have to try extra hard to prove the true "market value" of the car. As we all know, Kelly Blue Book is extremely inaccurate for our cars, given their recent popularity in addition to other factors. What I am trying to do is prove that specifically in our area (and possibly others as well), 240sx's are worth considerably more than their respective KBB value for miles, options, and other arbitrary factors.
This index will help prove to third parties the given value of a 240sx in Northern Illinois/the overall Midwest.
If you have bought or sold a 240sx in the recent years please contribute some basic information. Please use your better judgement.
Year:
Mileage:
Price bought/sold for:
Overall condition (1-10):
Value changing factors (damage, problems, etc):
Value changing modifications (aftermarket):
Of course a few pictures showing condition would help solidify things.
Id really appreciate your help. If this thread actually works, I will attempt to contact KBB and see about changing their overall value of our cars. I will also post it on other national forums if I feel it will help others. We will all benefit, and if you ever need to make a case to insurance this thread will come in handy.
Please PM me with negative criticism and dont post it in this thread.
