I'd recommend finding yourself a sanding block, and picking up strips of 220 grit sandpaper.. and wetsanding is for after the car is already painted.. What do you plan on painting it with? _________________

usually when youre sanding with a block, you want to sand in opposite directions... sort of in an X shape; diagonal in one direction with the block parallel to the ground, then in the other direction, one diagonal stroke after the other and you dont really need to take the doors, hatch, and everything off.. just strip then scuff the door jams and truck jams and it will save you a lot of work _________________

Make sure your using a high pressure gun and filter with it. Spray staring from the top about a foot away from car. Paint your hood and doors first to get some practice you dont want any runs in your paint. Also mixing the paint right without mixing different brands together is important as some dont agree with each other and throw the paint job off. Tell you how to wet sand it once youve painted it.

I agree with LongGrain. If you dont even know what grit to use I recommend letting someone do it for you or at least pay someone to work with you. It all depends on how good a paint job you want.

Honestly, there are countless writeups available on the internet with details, pictures, supplies etc. If you dont even know about wetsanding, you should probably start researching and reading more. Stop being lazy. _________________
